Raat Jaga Tara and The Endless Wait
Antaheen ( The Endless Wait) is one of the movies i watched recently and one that touched too
Its just a 2 hour movie, felt that it ended soon and abruptly, that's not the movies fault, its because i wanted to see more of it and did not want that sad climax to be in the film.
The cinematography is excellent that the scene got into my heat like beautiful paintings.
the songs did not go from my lips even now.
The fact that i want to emphasise is that, I saw this Bengali movie without subtitles. And Bengali is an alien language to me. Not that similar to Hindi, yet i enjoyed the movie. So that just means language is not a inevitable or hindering factor to enjoy a film. Of course that's it, because there was once a time where people enjoyed the non-talkie films. Am sure i would have savoured every scene if i had seen it with subtitles.
I liked the username the heroine Brinda carries in an Instant Messenger, that is "Raat Jaga Tara", the TV journalist have stress revelations only at night.
Now, Bengal is a place that has always enthralled me.
I know its where art, literature and many other entities got enhanced and evolved.
I know that the people there and in Kerala are not very different in the physical features.
And that people in Kerala and Bengal love eating fish.
Also that Communism is more favoured in both the places.
But more than that, i have an instinct that, something is waiting for me there.
When i say this to my friends, they discourage me saying it is not as wonderful as you think.
May not be that specific or distinguished yet Bengal beckons me for something. Lets wait and see. Can't predict where life takes me.
My friend Sreethi also wishes to go on for a travel to Bengal and we babble like kids when we discuss that.
Antaheen did not take me to Bengal just as "The Japanese Wife" had taken me.
