Steams, Stains and Burns/ Welcome Back Maggi Noodles

Maggi noodles have always been most of ours last resort to satiate hungriness and occasional cravings.
The dearth of it, and the severe accusations on it swept us off, also alarmed and alerted us as much as possible. the quantity of lead then consumed were vaguely calculated by me.
Even before due to amma's pressure i don't use the maggi masala instead have tried sprinkling all the ground spices handy at home.

Maggi was many times blessed by me when amma made the breakfasts i hate, then i sulk and don't eat the breakfast just because i know maggi is still in store in the shelf.

Now first after being with Anuraj i made maggi today as usual with lots of carrots and unusually with green peas. It tasted much better than my hakka noodles n Yippee too.
As today was a lazy morning, with sleep hangover, maggi filled our stomach saving time and exploiting my laziness.

While swirling maggi i kept thinking about the immense amount of time we Indian women spend in the kitchen just to feed ourselves and others. Especially the kerala foods require much patience and time to make it taste the way it ought to be. Whereas, at some other corners of the world, just a bread toast, jam and butter would do the needful. Here, making Idiyappam, Puttu n Kadala, Paalappam, Uppumavu, Dosas, uthappam, Idilies etc  for breakfast are time consuming (healthy too). Better not to mention lunch and dinner. And the more time it takes to clean the dishes :( . In short, time spend in kitchen is more than our "me time". But the joy in feeding tasty food to others is one that pushes us to accelerate with the steam, stains and burns

#welcomeback maggi...you extend my "me time"
